Dr. Mehmet Şeker, Member of the Board of Directors of Sasa, said that they are providing full and uninterrupted product support to the field of health products, for which demand is increasing astronomically due to the coronavirus pandemic. Expressing that they increased their share of health paraphernalia in their production from 30 percent to 50 percent, Dr. Şeker said, “We have shifted our production power to the fields of health, hygiene, and pharmaceuticals. We perform 50 percent of our production for the field of healthcare materials. We are providing an uninterrupted and the best service to the companies that manufacture products like masks, plastic gloves, and protective outfits. We provide full-capacity service to the sector in terms of product supply."
The company started a market diversity in the raw materials it provides from the Far Eastern countries, particularly China, within the frame of the strategy it started to put into practice in the beginning of the previous month. It shifted its direction to different parts of the world and Europe. Stating that they started to collect the fruits of that change, Dr. Şeker said, “We do not experience problems in the supply of raw materials. Our capacity has increased more than twice through our investments of cutting-edge technology.” He added that they continue their operations at full capacity in their production facilities, saying, “Following the viral pandemic, we conduct the production by way of taking all our measures in the field of health. We respond to the need for intermediate products of masks, gloves, medical, and healthcare equipment, with full concentration and our two thousand 800 employees.”

Sasa, Turkey's largest supplier company in the field of healthcare equipment, has undersigned a one billion-dollar investment in the last three years. It made an investment of 250 million dollars in the field of fiber used in the area of healthcare equipment. It increased its capacity from 750 ton/day to 1.8 thousand ton/day. Dr. Mehmet Şeker said, “We are able to meet the demand for healthcare paraphernalia and medical equipment plastics conveniently with the support of this production power of us.”
We reduced prices
Şeker stated that they encountered a price increase of up to 10 percent, due to their change of the market from where they provide raw materials in fiber production, and said, "We did not reflect such price increases into our prices. We even reduced the fiber ton price that was one thousand 70 dollars in today’s current price to 950 dollars in sales oriented to May in view of the amount of imports it prevented through its investment in fibers. Our objective is to present products without interruption and with the best prices. We will continue our price policy this way as long as the market conditions allow." Şeker added that they produce for the giant companies like Mitsubishi in pharmaceutical packaging, saying, "Our priority is Turkey and we keep on our services to foreign markets without interruption."
